Change your Learning Hub account settings

This article will show you how to change your Learning Hub account settings – such as your login info, email address, or notification preferences.

To get to your Settings page: 

1. Log into learn.ifs-institute.com

2. Click your profile in the top right 

3. Select Account Settings from the drop-down menu.

Change your name

From your Account Settings, you can update your profile name or nickname on the Learning Hub. 

  • Profile name: Your personal name as entered in your account profile. This is the name that's listed on your certificates. You name should match the name on your licensure. 
  • Nickname: The name that will be shown publicly on your profile and within Learning Hub programs, such as in discussion areas or community spaces.

Change your email address

To change your email address: 

1. Go to your Account Settings.

2. Update the 'Account Email' field. 

3. Click the Save Changes button.

If you see an error that says your email address is already being used for another account, you can try logging into Learning Hub using that email address. If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it.

Change your login settings

From your Account Settings page, you can make the following changes to your login settings:

Change your email notification preferences 

To change your email communication preferences:

  1. Go to your Account Settings.
  2. Select Email Settings from the left sidebar.
  3. Customize your settings, then click Save Changes.

Change notification preferences for the Learning Hub Community forums

If you’re receiving emails related to our Learning Hub Community forums, you can adjust your preferences in your Account Settings.


Change your profile visibility settings

To update who can see your profile information:

1. Go to your Account Settings.
2. Select Privacy (or Profile Visibility) from the left sidebar.
3. Adjust the visibility settings for each field, then click Save Changes.

You can choose whether information is visible publicly or only to you.

Update your biography visibility

To control who can see your biography:

1. Go to your Account Settings.
2. Select Privacy (or Profile Visibility) from the left sidebar.
3. Locate the Biography section and adjust the visibility setting as needed.
4. Click Save Changes.

Your biography can be set to public or visible only to you.


Change your group invite settings

To manage who can invite you to join groups:

1. Go to your Account Settings.
2. Select Group Invites from the left sidebar.
3. Toggle your preferences.
4. Click Save.

Restricting group invites limits invitations to members you are connected with.


Request an export of your data

To download a copy of your account data:

1. Go to your Account Settings.
2. Select Export Data from the left sidebar.
3. Click Request Data Export.
4. Follow the instructions in the confirmation email to verify your request.

After verification, your request will be reviewed. If approved, a file containing your data will be generated and sent to you.
