I just submitted my General Application for an IFS training program. What can I expect next?

We appreciate your interest in training with IFS Institute. This article will guide you through what you can expect after submitting your general application for a Level 1, 2, or 3 Training.

Application Submission

1.   Processing Time

After you submit your General Application (GA) and pay the GA fee, it may take a few weeks to process your application.

2.   Email Notification

Once processed, you will receive an email regarding its approval status. If approved, this email will also contain instructions for creating or updating your Customer Portal account.

Customer Portal Accounts

To ensure you'll receive an invitation to register during an upcoming training release, it is important to have an account on IFS Institute's Customer Portal using the same email address as what's listed on your general application. This will allow us to match your application to your account. If the email addresses do not match, you may not receive an invitation to register. 

For Returning Customers

1.   Log Into Your Existing Account
  • Visit the Customer Portal
  • Under Log in, please enter your email address or username followed by your password and click the blue Login button at the bottom of the page
  • If needed, you can request a password reset here: Customer Portal - Password Reset
2.   Verify Your Email
  • Once you've logged in, make sure to navigate to the My account tab in the upper right corner of the webpage
  • Next, select the Account Settings tab
  • Verify that the email address associated with your existing account is the same as what's listed on your general application

  • If the email addresses do not match, enter your Current password and update your Email address in the appropriate fields, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click the bright blue Save button

For New Customers

1.   Create a New Account

  • Visit the Customer Portal and be sure to navigate to the Create new account tab.
  • Enter the same Email address used on your general application, followed by your preferred Username, First Name, and Last Name in the appropriate fields.
  • Complete the CAPTCHA test and click the blue Create New Account button at the bottom of the page.

Training Registration

1.   Email Notification

When your GA is approved, you may not be invited to register for a training right away. Registration Groups are assigned based on prioritization, and you'll be notified when it's your turn.

When we're ready for your Registration Group, you'll be notified by email with the following information:

  • Important dates and deadlines for your Registration Days
  • Instructions for registering
  • Scholarship awards, if applicable

2.   Registering for Training

When your Registration Days begin, you'll access your Customer Portal to select from a number of available training programs. After making your selection, you'll pay the $500 tuition deposit required to secure your seat in the training.
