How do I apply to become a Program Assistant?
Program Assistants (PAs) support IFS Institute trainings by assisting Lead and Assistant Trainers and helping participants integrate their learning.
If you are interested in serving as a PA, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Review Eligibility Requirements
Before applying, review the Program Assistant eligibility requirements to confirm that you meet the necessary training and identification criteria for the level of training you are applying to support.

Step 2: Apply to a Specific Training
When PA applications open for a training, a separate application must be submitted for each training you wish to be considered for.
-
Applications typically open 4–6 months before a training begins.
-
Each application window remains open for approximately two weeks.
-
Email notifications are sent when PA application windows open to individuals on the Program Assistant Interest List and to recent training graduates who are now eligible to apply.
-
Applications must be submitted through the official IFS Institute online PA application form.
-
Verbal applications or applications submitted only to a trainer will not be considered.
Trainers review applications and make final selection decisions for their training.
Step 3: Join the Program Assistant Interest List (Optional)
If there are no open PA applications, you may add your name to the Program Assistant Interest List.
The Interest List is shared with IFS trainers if additional PA support is needed. Trainers may reach out directly if an opportunity becomes available.
Please note that submitting your name to the Interest List does not guarantee placement.
Important
If you are applying to participate as a student in a specific training, you should not apply to serve as a Program Assistant in that same training.
