How to Complete the IFS Institute General Application

General Applications (GAs) for each training level are offered on a rolling basis throughout the year and are available only during designated application periods. 

During an open General Application period, you can follow the steps shown in the short video below to access and complete your application.

               

Accessing the General Application

You can access the General Application in one of two ways:

  • Through the email notification you receive when a General Application period opens, which includes a direct link, or

  • By navigating directly from the IFS Customer Portal during an open application period, as demonstrated in the video.

If you’re unable to locate the email with the direct link, you can still access the General Application by visiting the IFS Customer Portal while the application period is open.

Important things to know before you apply

  • The General Application is available only during open application periods.

  • The only way to be considered for an IFS Institute Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 Training is by completing the General Application.

  • A one-time, non-refundable $75 USD General Application fee is required at the time of submission.

  • If you have already submitted a General Application for this training level and it has been approved, you do not need to reapply.

What if the General Application is not currently open?

If an application period is not currently open, you can sign up to receive email notifications so you’ll be alerted as soon as the next General Application window becomes available.

Already applied and approved?

If your General Application has already been approved, no further action is needed at this stage. Approved applicants are added to the applicant pool and receive email invitations to register for upcoming trainings as they become available.
