I received a registration invitation — what do I do next?
Because training seats are limited and registration windows are short, a little preparation goes a long way. This article walks you through exactly what to do next.
Before Registration Opens
Registration invitation emails are typically sent before the Registration Period begin. Once you receive your invitation:
1. Confirm your Customer Portal access
Registration is completed through the IFS Institute Customer Portal.
-
Make sure you have a Customer Portal account using the same email address as your General Application
-
If you don’t have an account yet, create one using that email
-
If needed, reset your password in advance
Using the same email address ensures your approved application is correctly matched to your registration access.
2. Review your registration dates
Your invitation email will include:
-
Reading Days – time to review training details
-
Registration Days – when registration opens and closes
All registration times are listed in U.S. Central Time (CST). We strongly recommend adding these dates and times to your calendar.
3. Get set up for registration
Before Registration Days begin:
-
Log into the Customer Portal on the device you’ll use to register
-
Save your login credentials or enable autofill
-
Bookmark the training page(s) you’re interested in
-
Save your payment method to your account
-
Set a reminder for 10–15 minutes before registration opens
During Registration Days
When registration opens:
-
Refresh the training page right at the opening time
-
Use a strong internet connection (avoid public Wi-Fi if possible)
-
Submit quickly, but carefully — double-check your details before finalizing
-
Training seats are first-come, first-served and may fill quickly
If you don’t secure a spot
If you’re unable to register during this period:
-
Nothing is wrong
-
Your application remains approved
-
You’ll continue receiving future registration invitations as new opportunities become available
No additional action is required.
