What are the requirements for recertification?

IFS Recertification is required every two years to maintain an active Certification credential.

To complete Recertification, individuals must:

1. Pay the Recertification Fee

  • $150 USD Recertification fee

Fees are subject to change. Refer to the Certification Policy for current pricing.

2. Complete 20 IFS Continuing Education Credits

You must complete:

  • 20 IFS Continuing Education (CE) credit hours

  • Provide Certificates of Completion for programming attended

Up to 10 of the 20 required CE hours may come from Clinical Consultation with an IFS Approved Clinical Consultant.

3. Submit the Recertification Application

Applicants must:

  • Submit payment

  • Upload documentation of Continuing Education credits

  • Complete the Recertification Application Form

The official Recertification Application Form is available on the IFS Institute website.

Your Certification expiration date is listed on your IFS Certification PDF. Recertification must be completed prior to expiration to maintain active status.
