What if I can no longer serve as a PA after being selected?

Serving as a Program Assistant (PA) is a staff commitment that requires full participation for the entire training.

PAs are expected to:

  • Attend all training days in full

  • Participate in required staff meetings

  • Remain present and engaged throughout the duration of the training

Continuity is important for both participants and the training staff. When a PA withdraws or misses multiple training days, it can impact group dynamics, staff planning, and the overall learning environment.

If you become aware of a scheduling conflict or life event that may prevent you from serving for the full training, you should notify the trainer team as soon as possible.

Unexpected circumstances such as illness, family emergencies, or major life events may arise. In these situations, early communication allows the trainer team and IFS Institute staff to determine the best path forward.

Because the PA role is a staff position, it should not be treated as a drop-in or partial-attendance opportunity.

Applicants are encouraged to apply only to trainings for which they can commit to full participation.
