What happens if I miss more than the maximum allowed hours?

Each IFS training has specific attendance requirements that must be met in order to earn a Certificate of Completion. These requirements are outlined in the training’s Informational Brochure.

If you miss more than the allowed hours

If you miss more training time than is permitted for your specific training:

  • You will not receive a Certificate of Completion for that training

  • You will not be considered to have completed the training level

  • If you wish to earn a Certificate of Completion for that level, you will need to retake the training in a future offering

Attendance limits and completion requirements vary by training and level, so it’s important to review your training’s Informational Brochure carefully before registering.

Planning ahead

If you anticipate that your schedule, travel, or availability may prevent you from meeting the attendance requirements, it may be best to wait for a future training that better fits your circumstances.
