What Is a Registration Period?

When you’re invited to register for an IFS Institute training, you’ll be included in a Registration Period. Each Registration Period has two phases: Reading Days and Registration Days.

Reading Days

Reading Days usually begin a few business days before registration opens.

During Reading Days, you can:

  • Review the training’s Informational Brochure

  • Confirm details like:

    • Dates and schedule

    • Time zone

    • Format (online, on-site, or hybrid)

    • Tuition and payment deadlines

  • Decide whether the training works for you

No registration happens during Reading Days — this time is intentionally set aside for review and planning.

Important: Which trainings are available?

During Reading Days, only trainings labeled “Registration Opening Soon” are available for registration.

  • These are the only trainings included in your Registration Period

  • Trainings without this label are not open and cannot be registered for

  • Availability is determined in advance based on logistics, staffing, and readiness

If a training does not have the “Registration Opening Soon” label, it is not part of the current Registration Period.

Registration Days

Registration Days are the window when enrollment is open.

During Registration Days:

  • Registration opens and closes at specific times (listed in your email)

  • Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Trainings may fill before the registration window closes

Your registration email will always include:

  • Exact open and close times

  • The time zone

  • A direct link to register

Important Things to Know

  • Not every Registration Period includes the same trainings

  • Being invited does not guarantee a seat

  • If you don’t register (or a training fills), you’ll remain eligible for future invitations

If You Decide Not to Register

That’s okay.

  • You do not lose your approval

  • You do not need to reapply

  • You’ll continue receiving future registration invitations

Common Questions We Can’t Accommodate

To help set expectations:

  • We’re unable to add trainings that are not labeled “Registration Opening Soon”

  • We do not open registration early for specific individuals

  • We can’t hold or reserve seats or maintain wait lists.

Future Registration Periods may include different trainings.
