What is the Program Assistant selection process?

Program Assistants (PAs) are selected by the Lead and Assistant Trainers for each specific training.

After the application window closes, the trainer team reviews all submitted applications and selects their PA staff from the pool of applicants for that training.

When making selections, trainers aim to:

  • Include a mix of experienced and first-time Program Assistants

  • Build a balanced staff team to support the needs of the training

Preference may be given to applicants who:

  • Have prior experience serving as a Program Assistant

  • Have completed the PA Administrative Orientation

  • Have completed a PA Development Workshop

  • Are IFS Certified

Selection decisions are made at the discretion of the trainer team based on the needs of the training.

Due to the limited number of PA positions available for each training, not all qualified applicants will be selected.
