What is the scope of practice for IFS Certification?
IFS Certification does not establish or expand an individual’s professional scope of practice.
IFS Certification is a continuing education–based professional designation for individuals who already hold an established professional credential or field of practice. Certified individuals must practice within the legal and ethical boundaries of their pre-existing professional scope as defined by applicable laws, regulations, and licensing bodies in their region.
IFS Certification does not grant independent clinical authority, licensure, or expanded practice rights.
Professional Responsibility
Individuals are responsible for:
-
Understanding the laws and regulations governing their profession
-
Practicing only within the scope defined by their credentials
-
Applying IFS-informed interventions in compliance with their professional standards
If you have questions regarding your personal scope of practice, you should consult your licensing board, regulatory body, or professional liability insurance provider.
Important Disclaimer
IFS Institute educational offerings may include interventions or practices that extend beyond the scope of practice for certain professions or jurisdictions.
It is the responsibility of each participant to determine whether and how specific interventions may be applied within their legally authorized scope of practice.
