What Should I Consider Before Choosing an On-Site Training?

On-site IFS℠ trainings provide an immersive learning experience at a designated training location. Before registering, consider both the training schedule and the additional logistics involved in attending in person.

Travel

Consider how you will travel to and from the training location, including:

  • Flights or other transportation.
  • Ground transportation.
  • Travel time before and after the training.

Allow enough time in your plans to attend the complete training schedule.

Lodging

Participants may need to arrange their own accommodations.

Review the individual training brochure for information about the training location, lodging recommendations, room blocks, or other available accommodations.

Lodging costs vary by training. For some trainings, lodging may be included in the tuition or training package. For others, participants are responsible for arranging and paying for lodging separately. Review the individual training brochure for details.

Meals

Meal arrangements vary by training.

Some meals may be included while others may be the participant's responsibility. Review the individual training brochure for details.

Additional Expenses

In addition to tuition, consider expenses such as:

  • Travel.
  • Lodging.
  • Meals.
  • Ground transportation.
  • Other personal expenses associated with attending the training.

Your Time Commitment

On-site training sessions require your presence at the training location.

Plan your travel and other commitments so you can remain on-site and participate for the complete scheduled training day. Attendance requirements still apply if you need to arrive late, leave early, or miss part of a session.

Review the individual training brochure for the training's attendance requirements and maximum allowable missed hours.

Planning Around the Training

Because training sessions require active participation, plan for the training itself to be your primary commitment during scheduled hours.

If you are traveling with another person or planning other activities around your trip, make sure those plans do not interfere with your ability to attend and participate fully in the training.
