You will:
- Learn the core IFS concepts (Self, parts, and multiplicity)
- Understand Managers, Firefighters, and Exiles
- Explore Self Energy in coaching presence
- Recognize key internal dynamics
- Reflect on next steps in your learning
This program focuses on learning and personal insight. It does not prepare participants to use IFS with clients.

When are the sessions?
This program is designed as a live, interactive learning experience. To receive a Certificate of Completion, participants must attend at least 6 of the 7 live sessions (a minimum of 9 of the 10.5 instructional hours).
Sessions include a mix of teaching, guided reflection, demonstrations, and group discussion to support learning and integration of key Internal Family Systems (IFS) concepts.
Because the program builds from week to week, live attendance and participation are encouraged in order to receive the full benefit of the experience.

Meet your Instructors

LaTonya Demps

LaTonya Demps, LCSW is a psychotherapist, Lead Trainer, and Approved Clinical Consultant with the IFS Institute. She is certified in IFS, specializing in complex trauma, perfectionism, anxiety, and relational concerns — with attention to how systems and lived experience shape our inner world. LaTonya facilitates IFS training, leads consultation groups, and partners with organizations and business leaders to address the root causes of burnout and create cultures of genuine wellbeing. A lifelong learner, she has spent her career at the intersection of teaching, community, and clinical work. When she's not teaching or consulting, she's traveling with her family, deep in a fiction novel, or on a hammock — ideally all three.
David Kitchings

David Kitchings, LPC, is a certified IFS therapist and approved IFS clinical consultant with a private practice online practice. He is also an IFIO (Intimacy from the Inside Out) couples therapist and is on staff for IFIO trainings. David teaches introductory IFS workshops and leads IFS and IFIO consultation groups. He provides IFS-inspired executive coaching and is continuously training in IFS and psychedelics. David returned to the field of psychotherapy after a long period of time working as an attorney, business owner, and stay-at-home dad to three children. He has also lived in Singapore and Switzerland, working with expatriates and the international IFS community. David has a deep interest in spirituality, and is an artist and musician.

What is the withdrawal and refund policy?
Participants who wish to withdraw must contact us with their request by April 23, 2026 to be eligible for a refund.
Approved refunds will be issued minus a $100 USD administrative fee.

What can I expect during each session?
Sessions are thoughtfully designed to balance learning, reflection, and connection. You can expect a blend of:
- Guided centering practices to help you arrive and ground
- Teaching to introduce key concepts and frameworks
- Experiential exercises and peer connection to support integration
Each session may flow a bit differently, allowing space to respond to the needs of the group while maintaining a consistent overall experience.
Will sessions be recorded?
Session recordings will be made available approximately 48 hours after each live session, with lifetime access.
